MAF Traineeships

MAF UK is excited to be rolling out a sponsored engineering training scheme to assist people with a passion for mission aviation to join MAF and serve overseas.

If you’re successful, we will help you achieve the theoretical knowledge and practical experience necessary to obtain a CAA B1 or B2 engineering license.

You will then go on to serve in an MAF programme overseas.

There are five steps through the training programme, each of which must be completed to an acceptable standard within the allotted time frame as determined by our training staff.

The Training Scheme

There are three pathways through the MAF UK training scheme:

The approved route involves an initial two years of full-time classroom stufy and exams, followed by two years of gaining practical experience with a partner organisation in the UK.

The modular route involves an initial year of intense classroom study and exams, followed by four years of gaining practical experience with a partner organisation in the UK.

Degree route

The degree route involves enrolment at the University of South Wales to complete a BSc (Hons) Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance Systems, followed by two years of gaining practical experience with a partner organisation in the UK.

Selection:

Closing date: 31 July 2024

The selection process will commence in September each year for applications in the year following.  The process will include interviews, technical evaluations, and the completion of medical and psychological assessments.
