Philanthropy

Partnering with MAF through special projects and major gifts.

Partner with us to transform lives

Whether you are an Individual, charitable trust, or corporate supporter, we work with our partners to understand your individual requirements as a donor.
We believe that your philanthropy should be as rewarding for you as it is beneficial for MAF. Consequently, our team will work with you to find the right project and level of reporting and then ensure that you are kept informed as your chosen project progresses.
Where possible your relationship with MAF will always be conducted with the same person. This continuity helps to ensure your supporter relationship with MAF is personalised for you and achieves maximum impact.
If you are considering making a transformational gift, we would welcome the opportunity to explain our operational needs and learn about your philanthropic journey.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…

Hebrews 10:24 (NIV)

Fleet for the future

The reliability of MAF’s fleet of aircraft is central to our ability to offer our essential flight services. Operating in some of the world’s most harsh and challenging environments, MAF’s aircraft require higher levels of maintenance as they get older. This means increased maintenance cost and more time for aircraft in the hanger rather than in the skies making vital flights
In order to build a fleet fit for the future and enhance MAF’s life-transforming impact, our immediate need is for four new Cessna Caravans.

Sponsor an aircraft

Every day MAF aircraft bring life-changing help to isolated communities around the world. Each year MAF must fund fuel, maintenance, aviation insurance, and other ongoing costs for each of our aircraft. This project offers donors an opportunity to sponsor these costs for a specific aircraft.
Supporters of MAF aircraft enable them to reach isolated people with the essentials for life – healthcare, the gospel, clean water and food security projects, community development, and much more. Using these planes maximises the effectiveness of our partners on the ground by significantly reducing their travel time. This means that our passengers – Christian and humanitarian organisations – can bring more help, hope, and healing to remote communities as a direct result of the aircraft’s sponsorship.

Relief & development – Uganda

Many years after the end of civil war in Uganda, the north and northeast of the country still reels from the aftershocks of large-scale violence and displacement. More than half a million people are at risk of food insecurity, and 91,000 children are in danger of acute malnutrition. Both drought and flooding are regular occurrences, with crop pestilence and cattle rustling by armed gangs adding to the many issues faced by communities.
In July 2022 the Ugandan Government asked for help from the INGO community in responding to this evolving crisis, many MAF Ugandan partners are actively involved in delivering aid and emergency response to the region.MAF Uganda flies a regular shuttle service to the east and northeast area, providing fast and safe access to the most troubled spots.

“A truly amazing experience”

When AFD Software (The Postcode People) reached 25 successful years in business, co-directors David & Alison Dorricott and the AFD team marked the milestone with extraordinary generosity…
“Seeking to celebrate and commemorate 25 years of profitable business in 2008, we were thrilled to learn that our success could make a significant difference to the lives of thousands of isolated people, through the purchase of a new MAF Kodiak 100 aircraft. It has gone on to serve people in Indonesia’s Kalimantan province (Borneo) for over 10 years and continues to do so. We are delighted to know that our aircraft enables hundreds of village communities and thousands of individuals to receive help and hope each year.”
“For us, giving MAF a new aircraft has been a truly amazing experience. Our team too are delighted that their hard work and energy has enabled the donation of this aircraft which continues to provide everyday help and assistance to those in such a remote place and have continued to fund other MAF projects every year. We strongly encourage others to consider how we may all be able to help MAF’s vital work in the developing world.”
