Growing up in a Christian home in Folkestone, I have always known of MAF without really knowing the work the organisation did. This changed upon a visit to my Grampy’s church, who recommended I come along to hear the talk. From that moment on, I was deeply intrigued by the idea of flying for MAF and made contact with the HR team, who kept me informed of the goings-on and operations of MAF. Fast forward nearly 4 years, and I decided to finally submit an application for the newly formed Future Pilot Programme, and upon acceptance in 2022, I felt the greatest feeling of relief knowing that I was where God wanted me.

During a short-term mission trip to Mexico, aged 17, I really discovered my faith and a personal relationship with God. Since then, I have completed more short-term mission trips, developing a deeper faith and understanding, realising that this is the field in which I belong.
