Jordan and Bekah Overton-Cox

As a child, I had a keen interest in aviation and dreamt of being a pilot when I grew up. However, I never found the right opportunity to turn this dream into a reality, so as the years progressed, I decided to permanently abandon this plan (or so I thought!).

While studying at University, I began to clearly sense that God was calling me to serve him overseas in the humanitarian sector. This occurred at the same time that my now wife, Rebekah, felt a similar calling on her own life.

In the years that followed, both Rebekah and I continued to press into God’s calling in our lives through the career decisions that we subsequently made. Rebekah worked as a Nurse in various Emergency departments around the UK, whilst I initially undertook an internship with Tearfund before later rejoining the charity as a staff member in 2020.

Fast forward to 2023, and now as a family of three, I found to my surprise that my interest in aviation was reignited. This, as well as my humanitarian background, led me to the MAF website where in God’s perfect timing, I stumbled across the Future Pilot Programme. After several rounds of assessments, including three test flights in the Netherlands, and a lot of thought, discussions, and prayer with close family and friends, we feel both excited and blessed to be joining MAF UK as a family as we embark upon this journey together.

Would you prayerfully consider joining their support team?
