Come and join us for a rare opportunity to get up close with the iconic Spitfire and listen to Air Marshall Cliff Spink CB CBE RAF (Ret) – the only living pilot to have flown all airworthy Spitfire marks.

Speaker

Air Marshal Clifford Rodney Spink, CB, CBE, FCMI, FRAeS is a retired senior Royal Air Force officer, who is now a Spitfire display pilot on the national air display circuit. The first Spitfire he ever flew belonged to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, during his tenure as Station Commander of RAF Coningsby. He also served as the 23rd Commandant of the Royal Observer Corps, the penultimate officer to hold the post.

Event

This event is a must for anyone with an interest in historical aviation. Not only will you have the opportunity to listen to Cliff explain what it's really like to fly the iconic Spitfire, but you will also be able to get up close to a collection of other beautiful vintage aircraft exclusively made available for this event. Light refreshments will be provided. All of this for a suggested donation of just £10pp.

Venue

Biggin Hill Sector formed a crucial part of Fighter Command's 11 group during the summer of 1940 and remains synonymous with the Battle of Britain. Today, Biggin Hill is a thriving commercial airport. This event will be held in the newly constructed Hubb - a dedicated aviation lecture venue.
