Get baking to help isolated people

It's time to break out the bunting – series seven of the Great British Bake Off begins on Wednesday evening and we can expect the whole country to obsess over technical challenges and signatures bakes until mid-autumn.

Since the show's debut in 2010 it has been credited with a renaissance in home baking and, as in previous years, amateur bakers around the country will be donning their aprons to prove that you don't have to be in the tent to create a showstopper.

Baking skills can change lives if you 'Bake Off to Take Off'.

Bake with your friends and transform lives

In the time it takes to mix a batch of cupcakes, somewhere in the world an MAF plane will have landed or taken off, bringing help to people in remote areas.

Bake Off to Take Off is all about getting people together to enjoy some tasty treats while raising awareness and funds for MAF. Based on the classic coffee morning fundraiser, you can host a Bake Off to Take Off event at home, work, school or your local community centre.

Our free pack contains everything you need to host a successful event including invitations, posters, stickers, collecting boxes, instructions and even the obligatory bunting.

FREE Bake Off to Take Off packs are available by calling on 01303 851955 or on our Bake Off to Take Off page where you can also download recipes and extra resources.

Every cake will make a difference, because it's not just a piece of cake.... it could be a vaccine for a child, a packet of therapeutic food, or a mile of life-saving fuel.

If you Bake Off to Take Off you will be helping our pilots reach those isolated communities who desperately need help and who, without MAF, would struggle to get it.

On your marks, get set... BAKE!
