Community Fundraising Assistant

MAF UK are looking for a full time Community Fundraising Assistant to join their MAF in the Community Team at a very busy and exciting time!

We are looking for an inventive, creative individual who is a quick learner to support our MAF in the Community Team to help us to develop and deliver Community Fundraising resources and events in order to increase engagement with supporters and churches across the UK. 

You will be tasked with supporting and working collaboratively in the delivery of the innovative community fundraising programme, act as a contact person providing advice and guidance on our community fundraising resources and events.  A key task will be to create new resources to inspire communities to support the work of MAF. 

To excel in this role, you will need to be a creative thinker and communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.  Digitally savvy, you will have the ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds and keep track of a fast and varied workflow.

This role is a good opportunity for someone motivated and enthusiastic who wants to join a dynamic charity and start or develop their career in Community Fundraising.

Benefits: Salary £23,000 pa, non-contributory pension scheme for staff of 10% salary on joining, Annual Leave 22 days per year plus 8 Bank Holidays, additional paid leave for the Christmas and New Year office closure.

Supporter Relations Assistant (Maternity Cover)

MAF UK is looking for a full or part-time Supporter Relations Assistant to join the team based in Folkestone for a flexible fixed term of approximately 1 year to cover maternity related absence. 

Reporting to the Supporter Relations Team Leader, the Supporter Relations Assistant will be a collaborative member of the team, responsible for a variety of office administration duties, including the efficient processing of gifts and acknowledgements, enabling MAF to accept, record, process and thank donors and prayer supporters to the highest levels of supporter care.  The successful candidate will be familiar with an office environment, customer care by phone, email or post and able to accurately record and process data following set procedures.

Benefits: The salary for this role is FTE £19,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time).  MAF UK provides a non-contributory pension scheme for staff of 10% salary on joining. The FTE annual leave entitlement is 22 days per year plus 8 bank holidays per year, plus additional paid leave given by MAF UK for the Christmas and New Year office closure (this will be pro-rata to part time entitlement).

Volunteers needed!

MAF Scotland is looking for key volunteers to help with their busy events season:

1.  Event Set-Up Volunteer

We urgently need volunteers who have experience in towing large loads to help us during our summer event season to set-up and take-down our display plane and trailer from venues around Scotland. If you have a car with a tow hitch and a bit of free time, we’d love to hear from you.

2.  MAF Speaker

We’re also looking for more volunteers who enjoy public speaking and want to practise their skills by sharing their passion for mission and aviation.  If this sounds like you, then drop us a line. We’ll give you some excellent training and resources, and provide support in developing meeting opportunities in your area.
