  • Would you like to use your HR skills to transform the lives of the world's most isolated people?

Established more than 70 years ago, and with a reputation among their supporters and partners for doing unique and transformational work, MAF faces a significant challenge – finding staff to serve overseas. Recruitment to the range of technical jobs - pilots, engineers, technicians and managers - is now the primary constraint on the work we do and the number of people and communities we can reach.

As Head of HR, you will be responsible for leading the recruitment strategy that addresses this constraint. At the same time, you will provide strategic level HR leadership to MAF UK which includes 60 UK based staff and 30 staff and their families overseas. Reporting to the CEO, you will serve on the five-strong senior leadership team contributing to the organisational strategy and play a central role shaping the Christian culture of the organisation.

You will be a strategic HR leader capable of developing the staff teams and leading the diverse HR brief of a small international organisation. You will come with creativity, initiative and the ability to build strong relationships across an international network. With an open and servant-hearted leadership style, you will be a spiritually mature Christian and have a passion to see isolated people physically and spiritually transformed in Christ’s name.

There is an occupational requirement for the job holder of this position to be a committed Christian. 

Benefits: Salary £52,000 pa, non-contributory pension scheme for staff of 10% salary on joining, annual leave 22 days per year plus 8 bank holidays, additional paid leave for the Christmas and New Year office closure.

Community Fundraising, Resource & Admin Assistant (Maternity Cover)

  • Do you want to use your administration and event organising skills to make a difference?

MAF UK is looking for a full-time Community Fundraising, Resource and Admin Assistant to join their MAF in the Community (MiC) team for a flexible fixed term contract of approximately 10 months to cover maternity related absence.  This role is based in Folkestone, Kent, and supports the MiC team that are based remotely.

Reporting to the Head of MAF in the Community, the Community Fundraising, Resource and Admin Assistant will be a highly collaborative member of the team assisting with developing resources, community fundraising products and services.  The successful candidate will provide planning and administration support across events, campaigns, volunteer programmes and Church partnerships.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience of organising and running events, experience of working with volunteers, managing budgets and leading projects.  The ability to communicate positively, assertively and sensitively within a cross functional team environment is vital.

Volunteers needed!

MAF Scotland is looking for key volunteers to help with their busy events season:

1.  Event Set-Up Volunteer

We urgently need volunteers who have experience in towing large loads to help us during our summer event season to set-up and take-down our display plane and trailer from venues around Scotland. If you have a car with a tow hitch and a bit of free time, we’d love to hear from you.

2.  MAF Speaker

We’re also looking for more volunteers who enjoy public speaking and want to practise their skills by sharing their passion for mission and aviation.  If this sounds like you, then drop us a line. We’ll give you some excellent training and resources, and provide support in developing meeting opportunities in your area.
