Water turned on

The community of Laisamis, Kenya, now has a water supply, marking the completion of an 18-month borehole project.

In April 2008, we flew Chrisco Church members and consultant engineers to meet the community leaders.

And on Saturday 28 November, pilot Derek Moores flew there for the official handover of the borehole from the contractors to the community.

Information Co-ordinator Ruth Moores joined the flight: ‘The water was turned on and there were many smiling women and children as they filled their containers. Previously, some had walked for three hours each way to collect water.’

Chrisco, based in Nairobi, also supports missionary Benson Wanyoike in Laisamis, and the building of Mercy Primary School which now has over 320 pupils.
