Severe drought in north-eastern Kenya is exasperating armed conflict among Turkana pastoralists.
The Turkana are highly dendedent on their cattle, often their only assets and as a source of nutrition. Reduced pastoral lands as a result of the drought means that cattle are dying, and as a result there is an increase in cattle raiding.

Pray for the Turkana, many of whom are malnourished. Pray that they will find ways of supporting each other during these desparate times, rather than resort to competition and bloodshed.
Give thanks for those providing food aid to those Turkana most in need of aid.
