Tim lived in Cape Town until the age of six, when he moved to Surrey, England, with his parents and his younger sister. At the age of ten, Tim moved again with his parents to Botswana and was sent to boarding school in Johannesburg, finally returning to live in England when he was 14. Tim studied theology at university, before qualifying as a commercial lawyer in London.
Georgie was born and raised in Essex, England, with her younger sister. She spent time teaching at a Tibetan refugee camp school in the Nepali Himalayas, working for newspapers and magazines and caring for orphans in Romania, before studying English literature and language at university. Georgie qualified in London as a family and child lawyer.
We met while studying at university and married in 2005. The Lord placed a desire on our hearts to serve Him overseas providing physical, spiritual and emotional hope to those in need. As we looked further into the possibility of serving with Mission Aviation Fellowship among remote communities of the world, we felt sure that this was what the Lord had in store for us.
We were blessed with baby Joshua in November 2010, and recently completed a course in mission aviation at the Australian Centre for Mission Aviation. We are excited to see how the Lord will use us as a family to be tools in His work among Aboriginal people in Australia.
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? Romans 10:13–15a (NIV)
