Partners in Ministry in Southern Sudan

In January MAF spent a week delivering 2800 hand-held radios to people in southern Sudan as part of AID Sudan’s Radio Campaign.  This month we will team up again to deliver a further 2,000 radios to the people of Nasir.

Programming on AID Sudan’s radio signal includes the Gospel in their own language, news, community health and development, training for teachers, health, hygiene, and AIDS teaching.

Founded in 2000, AID Sudan is dedicated to the liberation of the southern Sudanese people from poverty, famine and hopelessness through missions and the message of Jesus Christ.

AID Sudan frequently uses MAF to travel to and from their projects, many places being inaccessible on foot or taking days to reach by overland transport.

With a base in Uganda and an uplink to satellite, AID Sudan transmits a radio signal which is sent to repeater stations across southern Sudan.  With the signal running from mud hut to mud hut through the solar-powered, fixed-tuned, hand-held radios, AID Sudan is able to fulfil an element of reaching people in both a spiritual and practical way.

You can help support the Radio Campaign ministry of AID Sudan by purchasing a hand-held radio for $20 USD, which will then be manufactured, transported, and distributed to southern Sudan.
