Ongoing food shortages expected in Kenya

Poor harvests in parts of Kenya will mean continuing food shortages until at least next year, according to Dr Romano Kiome.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture in Kenya reports that poor rainfall and seed shortages mean the national food requirement is not expected to be hit.

Dr Kiome, however, said that international trade could help to improve the situation.

Ask too, that God will be merciful and provide sufficient rainfall during the coming rainy seasons to help alleviate the agricultural problems.
