More than 70 killed in an explosion in Mogadishu, Somalia


At least 70 people were killed and more than 50 injured when a truck carrying explosives was driven into a gate and detonated near a government compound in Mogadishu.

A spokesperson from al-Shabab admitted to carrying out the attack.

The BBC's Will Ross says, 'It's one of the largest blasts to happen in many months in Somalia.'
