Background: First time flying in Kenya but has flown many times aboard MAF aircraft elsewhere in Africa and also in Australia. Purpose of the trip is responding to Somalia/Kenya drought and famine situation. Flying with a TV crew.

Aims: With a national TV crew here the intention is to get greater exposure to show the world of just how big and bad the situation is here in Kenya and what needs to be done.

Difficulties: Seeing images from television of the children is always heart wrenching but also it is very difficult to get back on an airplane and leave them knowing that they can’t leave.

About MAF: MAF has been essential for World Vision’s work in inland Australia and other continents. Without MAF we just wouldn’t be able to do a whole lot of things. Certainly here in Africa and elsewhere, we are thrilled MAF is there and is a Christian humanitarian organisation which means we support each other in ministry.
