Mission Aviation Fellowship's team in Tanzania has been working with four local churches and missions in the south-west who have a vision to reach areas currently neglected by health services and unreached with the Gospel.
Surveys have identified areas of immense need around Lake Rukwa and Mbeya, where many of the communities are very hard to reach by road for six months of the year and have no airstrips.
MAF already runs a medical safari from Mbeya in which a medical team is flown to several remote villages in the area every month. There are already plans to expand this medical safari, and it is hoped that in the future our aircraft can help to meet the vision of all the churches and missions in the south-west.
