Introduction to MAF

What is MAF?

Bringing vital help to people in need, MAF operates over 120 light aircraft in 35 countries of the developing world, flying to thousands more destinations that any other airline.

MAF works in close partnership with aid agencies, missions, relief and development organisations and local churches to serve people in remote and inhospitable places providing them with medical care, adequate food, clean water and Christian hope.

Every 3 minutes, an MAF aircraft takes off or lands, reaching isolated places where flying is not a luxury, but a lifeline.

A medical team from Haydom hospital is flown to Matala on a medical safari in a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft in 2007. 010507/HaydomSafari_118.TIF The medical team from Magambua arrive in the village of Birise in a Cessna 206 aircraft. 2004. 010804/Birise_MAF-plane_0003.tif

I want to thank you for making what we do possible. The subsidized flights that you give not only allow us to do more in Sudan, but without it we would struggle to be able to continue at all in Nyinbuli. Thank you for your aid that allows us to help the people in Nyinbuli physically and spiritually.Charity Lanman, Safe Harbor
