Old Fangak in southern
Sudan is, according to Bret Burroughs, 'one of the most forgotten and impoverished areas I have ever seen.'
Bret works with Alaska Sudan Medical Project, a mission team called there to build a health centre, dig water wells and build a latrine system. This is to assist Jill Seaman who has given medical help to the Nuer people for 19 years.
Old Fangak is an extremely remote area without clean water, sanitation, electricity or infastructure. For six months of each year, Jill provides the only medical help for thousands.
We have carried out several flights for the Alaska Sudan Medical Project team since last December, providing access and being a lifeline.
