The World Food Programme (WFP) has begun to deliver several tons of food aid to Somalia.
The UN agency had planned to begin delivering the vital aid last week, but was unfortunately delayed due to bureaucracy.
The 10 tons of nutritional supplements arrived in the capital, Mogadishu, which will feed 1,000 children for a month.
The WFP is also due to deliver food aid to the Ethiopian town of Dolo Ado, which will be transported across the Somali border into Jubaland.
However, there are many parts of famine-hit Somalia the WFP is still unable to operate in.

Pray...“Lord, thank You that vital supplies are now arriving and that hurdles are being overcome.
We ask that you now pave the way for a large stream of additional food aid to reach the affected areas, and that those who need it most will benefit.
Soften hearts and strengthen wisdom to enable existing barriers to be ovecome.
In Jesus’ name. Amen”
